SVE is a small, locally run organization with low overhead costs, giving us the ability to offer quality exchange programs at a lower cost than other organizations.  Our program coordinators live in Ecuador and have years of experience working with exchange programs and international students.  The local Spanish school that provides the Spanish Language training and  homestay componants of the programs has over 10 years in offering quality language training with qualified professors. 

We understand the impact that an exchange program can have on the life, career path, and way of thinking of each participant.  For this reason, our goal is to provide quality programs at an economical cost to those who are seeking an experience that will remain with them for their entire lives.

Our commitment to working with local, grassroots, Ecuadorian organizations shows that we feel that initiatives, change, and eventually development start at the local (or micro) level.  We also feel that under-developed countries and communities have the capacities and potential needed to develop and  their development depends on relationships and partnerships, not hand-outs.
